Phone and Tablet

Even in "airplane mode" or "off", modern phones keep the baseband radio active for emergency calls, location pings, software updates and AirTag-style tracking. A sealed Faraday pouch attenuates every signal a phone can emit or receive — cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and UWB.

Common Australian use cases: executive and journalist travel (hotel-room device infiltration and IMSI catchers), domestic violence safety following the 5 May 2026 NSW covert-tracking Bill (see our tracker detection guide), digital forensics (AFP and state police chain-of-custody preservation), and focus or quiet hours where you want a physical guarantee of "do not disturb". Stocked range: Mission Darkness (MIL-STD-188-125-2 forensic grade), SLNT (premium consumer), EDEC OffGrid (utility), DefenderShield (consumer). Safety note: a sealed phone cannot receive emergency calls — plan around it.
