What Are Faraday Bags?

Named after the inventor Michael Faraday, who officially came up with the invention in 1836 Faraday bags, boxes, and fabric shield devices from outside signals which in turn prevents data from being altered, added, or deleted from the device. In scientific terms, a faraday cage is an enclosure that is used to block electromagnetic fields.

It works the way it does due to having a metallic enclosure that completes a circuit by conducting these electric frequencies around the outside of the enclosure. The use of Faraday bags has been predominantly used for evidence preservation by law enforcement and the military.

They also protects electronics from being damaged by radio frequency interference (RFI) or from an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) by not allowing radio frequency or electromagnetic pulse waves to pass through the material.
