Shieldex® Nora RS: High-Performance Conductive Fabric for Cable and Room Shielding
Shieldex® Nora RS is a ripstop fabric metalized with silver, copper, and nickel. While it has the lowest metal content in the Nora family, the increased copper content of approximately 40% makes it ideal for textile cable shielding and EMC tents. The electrical surface resistance of Shieldex® Nora RS is < 0.03 Ω.
Key Features & Applications
Shieldex® Nora RS is a silver-plated polyamide fabric that has been further enhanced with copper and nickel metallization. This additional coating significantly increases the fabric's conductivity. The robust ripstop fabric structure, with approximately 2,500 threads per cm² in both warp and weft directions, makes it suitable for various industrial and technical applications.
With a high copper content of nearly 45% and a resulting shielding performance of approximately 80 dB in the 0.2 GHz to 14 GHz frequency range, Shieldex® Nora RS is primarily used for:
- Textile cable shielding
- Room shielding
