EMF-Turtal EMF Shielding Paint Sample 200ml - Powder
Product Overview
EMF-Turtal Sample 200 ml is a small-batch sample of EMF-Turtal carbon-based shielding paint, supplied in powder form. When mixed with 170 ml (5.7 US fl oz) of water it yields 250 ml (8.5 US fl oz) of ready-to-use shielding paint — enough to cover 1 m² (10.8 sq ft) at a single coat. Ideal for a swatch test, small project or to evaluate finish and adhesion before ordering the full 2.5 L bag.
The carbon/graphite/graphene formula shields high-frequency RF across 500 MHz to 40 GHz, including both 5G FR1 (600 MHz – 6 GHz) and FR2 (24–40 GHz) bands. Independently tested by Prof. Pauli at the University of the German Federal Armed Forces in Munich. Low-odour, solvent-free and breathable — packaged as powder with indefinite storage life before mixing.
EMF paints are electrically conductive and must be earthed in accordance with electrical regulations by a qualified electrician. Grounding plates can be purchased here.

Frequently Asked Questions
Application
On which surfaces can EMF-Turtal be applied? Suitable for primed surfaces such as plaster, concrete, stone, plasterboard, gypsum fibre boards, woodchip wallpaper, paper wallpaper, non-woven paints, dispersion and silicate paints.
Can EMF-Turtal be painted on wallpaper? Yes — always wallpaper first, then paint. Do not use shielding paint under wallpaper.
Can I coat EMF-Turtal with a wall paint? Yes, with a conventional dispersion paint. Unsuitable finishes are glue paints, lime paints and oil paints.
Do I have to prime the walls first? All untreated and absorbent substrates must be primed. Untreated paper wallpapers can be coated directly.
Grounding
Can I do the grounding myself? No — earthing must be connected by a qualified electrician. Live parts must never contact the paint.
Shielding
Why does the package quote 29–58 dB? These are mean values for two layers at 200 g/m². Actual attenuation varies by frequency — for example ~65 dB at 40 GHz and ~38 dB at 5.8 GHz.
Does it have to be painted twice? Yes. Two coats are required for the rated shielding performance.

Important Safety Notice
Do not use Wi-Fi or mobile phones inside fully shielded rooms. The shielding paint is reflective — radiation generated within a shielded room can be amplified by internal reflections. Have radiation exposure assessed by qualified personnel before any shielding measure is implemented.
