Product Overview

The Mission Darkness™ DroneCloak is a dome-shaped Faraday cover for rapid containment of disabled hostile drones. Once a drone has been brought down by a scrambler or other countermeasure, the DroneCloak can be deployed from a safe 10–15 ft (3–4.5 m) standoff to isolate the device completely — blocking remote control signals, data access and any onboard weapon activation. The system is lightweight, packable and designed for use by military, law enforcement and first responder teams.

An extendable pneumatic pole carries the cover into position over the downed drone, and the full deployment takes less than 10 seconds. Once covered, the drone is rendered RF-inert and secure.

Key Features

  • Complete signal isolation — blocks all inbound and outbound RF to/from a covered drone
  • Rapid deployment — full setup in under 10 seconds
  • Safe standoff — adjustable pneumatic pole extends to 10–15 ft (3–4.5 m) for operator distance from the disabled drone
  • Lightweight, compact and field-portable for grab-and-go drone-containment workflows
  • Smooth pneumatic deployment system for repeatable single-operator use
  • Dome shape conforms to a wide range of small to mid-size drone airframes

Technical Specifications

Deployment

  • Standoff range: 10–15 ft (3–4.5 m) via extendable pneumatic pole
  • Deployment time: Under 10 seconds, single operator
  • Operating mode: Post-disable containment — drone must first be neutralised by scrambler or other countermeasure

Shielding Performance

  • Coverage: Blocks all RF signals to and from the covered drone
  • Threats blocked: Command and control link, GPS, telemetry, video downlink, onboard wireless

Operational Workflow

  1. Identify and disable — hostile drone is identified and brought down using a drone scrambler or other countermeasure
  2. Deploy from safety — operator extends the pneumatic pole and places the DroneCloak over the downed drone from 10–15 ft (3–4.5 m) away
  3. Secure and isolate — once covered, the drone is RF-inert and safe to approach, inspect or remove

Applications

  • Military airspace security — containing compromised drone threats
  • Law enforcement — safe handling of potentially weaponised or booby-trapped drones
  • First responder operations — public safety incidents involving unauthorised drones
  • Critical infrastructure protection — airports, government facilities and event security
  • Bomb squad and EOD containment workflows where drone-borne payloads are suspected
