KEEP DEVICES SHIELDED AND LIVE
During Transport From Seizure to Data Extraction
The Mission Darkness™ Deploy Kit 5 solves multiple problems for forensics investigators and labs. The Deploy Kit 5 stands out from our other forensic enclosures because of its portability, making transferring devices and evidence from the field to the lab that much more seamless. The durable hard protective travel case ensures all enclosed cell phones and tablets are charged and shielded. The portable charging feature is designed to prevent lockout mode, reduce the amount of time needed to break a passcode, and keep the device charged while transferred to a forensic lab. Once the kit arrives, unlocking tools like GrayKey, Cellebrite, Magnet, XRY, BlackBag, and Oxygen can be used to extract the data off the devices.
The Deploy Kit case designed by SKB is constructed with an ultra high-strength polypropylene copolymer resin, featuring a gasket-sealed, water and dust tight, submersible design (MIL-STD 810G) that is resistant to corrosion and impact damage. It includes five fully equipped compartments with all necessary charging components and phone size Window Charge & Shield Faraday Bags to charge up to five devices at the same time. Five additional batteries can be charged simultaneously and switched out to provide an undisturbed power supply. The two backup batteries ensure all five bags are charged. Each cable set includes USB A/M to A/M extension cables plus a variety of popular cable tips: lightning, micro USB, and USB-C. Easily change cable tips inside the compartment to connect to the compatible device. Each compartment can accommodate either phone or small tablets and cable sets; the user can rearrange cables however necessary to fit various sized devices.
This product may require up to 3 weeks lead time.

Purchase Additional Charge & Shield Bags
A user can safely transfer seized or collected devices from the field to the lab with the Deployment Kit while maintaining RF shielding. Mission Darkness Charge & Shield Faraday Bags have built in filters which allow them to simultaneously charge devices stored inside while the connected battery is being charged. Purchase additional Charge & Shield Faraday Bags as needed, and swap them out when original bags included in the Deployment Kit are being used in the field or lab.
Deployment Kit Usage Steps
Deployment Kit Process
- 7 batteries come with the kit
- 5 batteries are charged in the red slots while 2 backup batteries can be charged in the green slots
- When a battery needs to be used, remove it from charging slots and into a blue slot
- Change the status of the indicator to "IN USE"
- Connect the battery to the Charge & Shield Faraday Bag in the corresponding slot with the USB cable
- Open the Charge & Shield Faraday Bag and pull the USB extension cable out of the bag, then insert the correct charging tip into the USB extension cable
- Connect the device to the charging tip
- Press the button on the side of the battery to make sure the device begins charging
- Place the device back into the Charge & Shield Faraday Bag, seal the bag properly, and insert it into the bag slot
- To check if a device is charging at any point, remove the bag from the bag slot (do not remove the device from the bag) and reinsert the USB cable in the battery. The power on the device should cycle, allowing you to view charging status on the screen through the bag's transparent window.
To Remove Charge & Shield Faraday Bags and Charge Batteries
- Disconnect the USB cable from the battery
- Remove the Charge & Shield Faraday Bags and transfer to evidence processing. DO NOT remove devices from inside of the bags until they are sufficiently shielded.
- Move the batteries from the Usage Slots to Charging Slots and connect to charging cables
- Change indicators to say "NOT IN USE"
- Ensure that all batteries are charging and ready for usage again
General Notes
- Charging percentages can be viewed on battery screens
- Cable tips are held in each Charge & Shield Faraday Bag's zipper pocket
