Modern vehicle theft can target both the wireless signal from your key fob and the diagnostic port beneath the dashboard. The Aus Security Keyless Car Anti-Theft Pack addresses both methods with two signal-blocking Faraday pouches and one keyed metal OBD2 port lock.
The two pouches protect your everyday and spare key fobs against relay attacks when they are correctly sealed. The OBD2 lock covers the vehicle's diagnostic socket, making it harder to connect key-programming equipment after someone gains access to the cabin.

Two common theft methods, two different defences
Relay attacks
Keyless entry fobs broadcast a short-range radio signal. Relay equipment can capture and extend that signal so a nearby vehicle responds as if the real key were present. Place each fob inside the Faraday-lined rear pocket and close the flap completely to contain the signal while the key is stored.
OBD key reprogramming
The OBD-II port gives mechanics access to a vehicle's computer for diagnostics. On some vehicles, key-programming equipment can also be connected through this port. The keyed metal lock fits over a compatible OBD-II socket and blocks direct plug-in access until it is unlocked and removed.
How to use the pack
- Place each key fob in the Faraday-lined rear pocket of its pouch and close the flap firmly.
- Test each pouch beside the vehicle. The doors should not respond while the fob is correctly sealed.
- Locate the OBD-II port beneath the dashboard and check that the lock fits the connector and available clearance.
- Install the mounting plate with the supplied security fasteners, then fit and lock the metal cap over the port.
- Unlock and remove the OBD2 lock when a mechanic needs diagnostic access, then refit it after servicing.
Keep the spare OBD2 key and removal tool somewhere secure, not inside the vehicle. Test the Faraday pouches regularly because shielding material can wear with repeated use.
Compatibility and fitment
The Faraday pouches are designed for most standard car key fobs. The OBD2 lock is a universal OBD2 port lock designed for most modern cars, SUVs, utes and light commercial vehicles with a standard, accessible 16-pin OBD-II/OBD2 diagnostic connector. LANKEN, the manufacturer of the M03-style lock, states that it has tested the design on many OBD2 ports and that it works with almost all types of cars.
It is not a make- or model-specific kit: OBD2 lock fitment still depends on the connector housing, mounting tabs, surrounding trim and clearance beneath the dashboard. Do not force the lock onto an incompatible or damaged connector. Ask a mechanic or auto electrician if the port is recessed or difficult to access.
Use it as part of layered vehicle security
This pack is designed to deter relay attacks and theft methods that require direct access to the OBD-II port. It does not prevent forced entry, direct CAN-bus attacks, towing or every other theft method.
For better protection, combine it with locked doors, secure parking, a visible steering-wheel lock and a suitable immobiliser where recommended.
