Product Overview
The Grounded Kiwi Earthing Rod with 12 m Cord provides a direct earth connection for use with Grounded Kiwi earthing mats, pillow covers and other grounding accessories — independent of the building's electrical earth. The 30 cm (11.8") stainless steel rod is driven into the soil outside the building, and the included 12 m (39.4 ft) cord routes back through a window or door to the accessory indoors.
This rod is the recommended option for users whose wall outlets are not correctly earthed, who live in older buildings with unreliable earthing, or who prefer to ground directly to the earth rather than through the building's electrical system.

Installation
Insert the stainless steel rod fully into soil outside the building — moist, mineral-rich soil provides the best earth connection. Route the cord back into the building via a window, door sweep or cable port. The cord has a 2 mm (0.08") diameter and is easily damaged by pinching or cutting (e.g. a closing window frame) — route carefully and inspect periodically for damage.
